New head bands top and bottom of text block. Original half title page present. New end sheets front and back. Light toning and scattered foxing to the text. Light edge wear to some of page edges. The map has closed splits at the folds with one split approx 4". No loss of content. 1978 Christmas gift inscription and previous owner's embossed stamp on the right front flyleaf. Von Borcke was a member of 3rd Prussian Dragoons. First published in Edinburgh 1866.
