Memoirs, Letters and Miscellaneous Papers in two volumes, London: William Heinemann, 1899.Octavos, English-language edition, pp. vi, 328; vi, 324; brown cloth boards half-bound in brown morocco with gilt lettering and devices in six compartments on spine, top edges gilt, gravure plates. Text selected and translated by Katherine Prescott Wormeley from the prince's extensive writings about his Napoleonic-era military career. He served for Austria and Russia. His writing began appearing in the late 18th century and mushroomed to 34 volumes. The present set includes introductions by Saint-Beuve and Madame de Stael.Condition: Near fine with a little wear at joints, scattered foxing. Overall a beautiful set. Size: Octavo (standard book size). 2-volume set (complete). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
