Boston & New York: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1899. Autobiographical work of Pyotr Alexeyevich Kropotkin (1842-1921), an important Anarchist theorist. This is a Very Good Plus copy of the First Edition; originally serialized in "The Atlantic Monthly" in 1898-99. Olive green cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine, front cover, and top edge. Clean text; 519 pages. P.O. gift inscription (1925) on the front paste-down and a tiny bookstore label (Brentano's) on the rear paste-down. Two corners mildly bumped and a small white stain on the spine. A very crisp copy. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus/No Jacket.
