Albany, NY: Websters and Skinners, 1814. fair. 18 cm, 178 total, 2 vols. bound in 1, 3/4 leather binding, front flyleaf cut away, title page & p.1 missing & replaced with photocopies. Boards quite worn, text foxed, small piece missing in bottom margin of p.3, rebound with newer spine (but original boards remain), ink notation onrear flyleaf. Short title written on spine: On the failure of the U.S. arms on the northern frontier. Full subtitle: In obedience to a resolution of the 31st of December last, requesting such information as may tend to explain the causes of the failure of the arms of the United States, on the northern frontier.
