First edition (first printing), hardcover in jacket, as pictured. Light wear to book, stamp of Westland Aircraft Ltd., Yeovil, Surrey inside front cover, with their reference number in ink; jacket shows a few short tears, light creasing, some waterstains - book seems unaffected. Text clean; xii, 499 pages; indexes, appendixes, many figures, equations, & references, a few b/w plates. Westland was a British maker of aircraft, founded in 1915 and active until 2000, specializing in helicopters after World War Two, during which they were mostly engaged in producing Supermarine Spitfires after the Supermarine factory was bombed. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Large Octavo.
