First edition, good + maroon cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) shows mild shelf wear and soil to covers including some bumping to corners, very scant internal markings, splitting along hinge of half title page, short gift inscriptions at half title page and rear endpaper, handful of wrinkled page corners, mild soil at page edges and frontispiece reverse, along with some other light trace wear. 295 pages with illustrations. Solid copy of this early work that features expert opinions from a number of different contributors.
