New York: Harper & Brothers. Good+ with No dust jacket as issued. 1855. First Edition. Hardcover. Dark brown cloth covered boards with blindstamped decoration and gilt lettering to spine. Minor rubbing, small losses at extreme spine ends, and bumped/frayed corners. Light foxing to text block. Binding sound, text clean. Interior lightly toned and moderately foxed overall; moreso to first/last several pages, less so towards central pages. Illustrated with many b/w engravings, including frontis portrait of Santa Anna. Small colored pencil scribble to one page margin. One chapter focuses on Santa Anna and Bustamente in Texas. Previous owner writing to front pastedown. No stickers or stamps. Not ex-library. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 406 pages .
