New York & London: Harper & Bros, 1926. Piaras Beasli (1881-1965) fought with Michael Collins against the British and wrote the first biography of the fallen IRA leader. Originally published by Harrap, and reprinted by Phoenix, in 1926. This is a Near Fine copy of Volume One only of the First American Edition, which was actually printed in Ireland by Talbot. Uncommon to scarce in any edition.There is no publication date, but per LoC, Quercus assigns it to 1926. Light green cloth binding with a paper label on the spine. Clean text; xv, 458 pages. Spine lightly sunned and with a small stain on the spine label; else a Fine copy. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket.
