About This Item

Ithaca, New York: Comstock Publishing Company, 1911. Cloth. Good. 359 + xvi pp., 6-1/4" x 9-1/2" 8vo. Publisher's red cloth with silver titling on front panel. Previous owner initials inked on front cover, signature on front flyleaf. Sticker on front flyleaf. While the textblock is sound, this copy has been well used. Hinges are weak with cords and linen showing. Previous attempts to tape the hinges left staining. Penciled notations on endpapers. The pastedowns have a useful printing of metric system references, with some minor losses due to wear. Still a useful working copy. Cloth. A textbook on microscopes and their accessories, and on specimen preparation. This book went through many editions, here in the rather uncommon 11th edition. Very practical.
