About This Item
London: André Deutsch, 1961. Hardcover. xii, 496p., hardbound, the first British edition in textured black boards gilt and dust jacket. Top edge tinted orange, a nice touch somewhat spoilt by a droplet stain. A handled copy with a touch of sun to spine panel, mild edgewear to casing, faint foxing to endsheets; dust jacket is similarly worn and foxed. Copyright page bears a strip of cancelation tape (black) that has bled through to its titlepage verso (came out grey), we're assuming the cancel has nothing to do with first edition status. Condition "good", that is, good-only.
