It is possible the recipient was Guy Burgess who were both involved in intelligence work during the Second World War. Coward's Middle East Diary relating part of his world entertainment and propaganda tour, during which he reported to William Stephenson of the British Security Co-ordination, part of MI6. Octavo. Original blue cloth, titles to spine gilt. With dust jacket. A fine fresh copy.
