About This Item
NY: Saturday Review Press, 1973. First Edition. . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. First printing of the author's acclaimed first novel. Near fine (lightly bumped corners) in a near fine dustjacket with just a trace of edgewear. Not priceclipped and no markings. Retains most (11") of the jacket band with all of the Eric Ambler quote: "This is the most intelligent and enthralling piece of work I have read in a long time". Heady stuff for a young author, but his body of work has been favorably compared to Ambler's.
