1st Edition . No Binding. Near Fine. An extraordinary item of Italian (and world) football memorabilia, being a Team Photograph Postcard of the 1950's Gre-Ni-Lo, Scudetto-winning AC Milan, which has been signed by every member of the team. The signatures were obtained by team member Gunnar Nordahl at a reunion dinner in the 1970's. The card measures approximately 15cm x 11cm and has been signed by Buffon, Silvestre, Foglia, Annovazzi, Tognon, Bonomi, Gren, Liedholm, Burini, Nordahl and Renosto. Bonomi's signature is smudged a little but the rest (ink & biro) are clear. The card itself is in Fine condition. Provenance: from the Estate of Gunnar Nordahl

Very worn copy of this two-volume work important mainly for having the engraved bookplate of American patriot Jeremiah Wadworth at the front of each volume. Wadsworth was a merchant and sea captain who represented Connecticut in the Continental Congess, and later, the US House of Representatives. The bookplate appears in Allen's American Bookplates as the first full page illustration. Full sheep, 310 + 307, [5] pages. Covers somewhat scorched and heavily chipped, spine coverings absent, frontis illustration lacking, text blocks shaky, dampstaining to top edges near the end of the first volume, worming to the bottom edges near the end of both volumes, pages age-toned. Bookplates, which are mounted on the pastedowns, are somewhat age-toned but unchipped.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Poor. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.

Hays is most famously known as the first President of Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America (MPPDA), which under his guidance published a blacklist of actors and workers studios should not hire, inserted moral clauses into actors' contracts, and published an informal list of suggested guidelines for film producers. When the Catholic Church formed its Legion of Decency and threatened nationwide boycotts of movies, Hays installed a more formal production code, called the Hays Code( later simply "The Code"), which became the virtual law of Hollywood until the 1960s.
