Chicago: Clarke & Co., 1866. 1st. Hardcover. Very good. Bound in publisher's original embossed black leather with spine stamped in gilt. Front inner hinge a little loose. A few closed tears at the head of the spine otherwise bright. 1022 pages. Numerous steel engravings without foxing. Text is clean and bright. One signature loose but holding. Overall very good condition.
