NY: James Miller, 1881. . Original brown pictorial wrappers, designed and lettered in black. Frontispiece, 35 inserted plates (two are ads), and a large folding map/plan of the city. 15 leaves of ads on yellow paper at the beginning, another 7 at the end; the inner covers are both also ads on yellow paper. Some chipping at spine ends and folds, a few bent page corners towards the end, a very good copy. A popular New York guide first published in 1859; this 1881 edition in wrappers is scarce. The large folding map [27.5 x 15.5 inches] is in excellent condition.
