About This Item

This volume is part of Ward and Lock's Sevenpenny Net Novels series, which began to be published in 1912, many of which were stories of adventure and mystery. This work by E. Phillips Oppenheim fits into that category, recounting one man's adventures on the African continent. This volume is in Good condition. The red publisher's cloth is somewhat dulled by age, and there is minor bumping and wear to the corners. The gilt lettering and decoration on the spine is still clear and relatively bright. There are signatures of previous owners on the front endpaper, and a slight crack to the front hinge.
