New York: Grosset and Dunlap, 1933. Cloth. Good/Poor. Blue cloth with an Art Deco style illustrated dust jacket. 160 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout. An illustrated history and survey of aviation, looking at balloons, dirigibles, planes and other inventions, discussing pioneer inventors and aviators. This includes women pilots; the first polar flight; World War I, etc. POOR jacket on a GOOD book. Moderate to heavy soiling and darkening to the jacket, with some staining. Heavy chipping, tearing, creasing and loss to the jacket, mostly along the top edge. Minor soiling, fading and edgewear to the book. Owner's name on the inside front cover, with duplicate stamp on the ffep.
