Atheneum, 1978. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good +. 9x6x1. Inscribed by author. James Merrill was a leading twentieth century poet and winner of the Pulitzer Prize. Charles Merrill was his father, husband of Hellen Merrill and founder of the investment firm of Merrill Lynch. This book is inscribed on the title page: "James Merrill with greetings to Toby Wolter 1978." 182pp. Minor foxing on fore edge. Front end sheets have some browning which appears to come from acid in the dust wrapper. The dust wrapper has minor edge wear and two small closed tears repaired from the inside with scotch tape.
