Alfred A. Knopf. Very Good- in Very Good- dust jacket. 1957. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Cover corners and spine ends worn with loss of color. A paperclip indent and stain is visible on paste downs and first 4 or 5 pages. Jacket worn at all edges and folds with a few small tears, including a 1" tear near the bottom center of the front cover. Jacket is 99% complete, missing a few chips at both spine ends, and unclipped. Inscription on ffep reads, "6/14/63 On passing through Topeka after 15 years -- good to be here, and great to see you, Peggy-- Bill Gibson" The book is from the library of noted Kansas journalist, Zula Bennington Greene, better know by her pen name Peggy of the Flint Hills who worked with Mr. Gibson during his time in Topeka. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 131 pages; Signed by Author .
