About This Item

San Juan Capistrano: the mission, 1970. Single leaf of buff stock printed sepia, folded five times to make an 8.5x3.5 inch brochure, two panels of which can be folded up into an envelope for membership and money. Illustrated with a couple of photos and a diagrammatic site map; a fine unblemished exemplar. The focus is "cultural" but find little mention of Hispanic or Native American lives, which in part dictates our guess as to date of production. The text boasts that this mission "is the most renown [sic], most romantic and most beautiful of the old California missions
