Complete set of twenty-six lithographs by Benton Spruance titled Moby Dick: The Passion of Ahab, with accompanying text by Lawrance Thompson.. Loose folio, twenty-six prints each measuring 22 x 16 inches. Housed in the matching green cloth clamshell case, title in gilt on front cover. Full piece measures 23 x 17 inches. Complete with twenty-six color lithographs depicting scenes from Moby Dick, illustrated by Benton Spruance. All pieces in near fine condition with light wear to corners and faint transfer of neighboring lithograph to versos. Includes text booklet with introduction and twenty-six poems by Lawrance Thompson. A vibrant and scarce piece building on the classic story told by Herman Melville.
