Very Good. 7 volumes 4to. profusely illustrated Very Scarce - complete run of all 75 issues of the MOCA Bulletin (Museum of Contemporary Art, Brisbane) from No. 1 September 1987 - No. 75 May 1994, and including an index to all 75 issues (bound in to last volume); the Bulletins are bound in 7 volumes in cream card wraps (printed to spines) with clear acrylic to front; the complete sequence of 75 issues provides an important and continuous overview of art in Brisbane in the late 80's-early 90's; run by independent art collector James Baker, MOCA was an non-commercial art space in South Brisbane, holding shows of artists emerging and established, and also providing a meeting place for the Brisbane arts community; Issue No. 1 covers the Museum's first exhibition featuring Stelarc, Scott Redford and Jeff Thomson; artists featured throughout are too numerous to mention but include Davila, Davida Allen, John Lethbridge, Peter Tyndall, Luke Roberts, Stelarc, Sebastian de Mauro, Robert Morris, Ian Smith, Joe Furlonger, and many more; also referenced are important exhibitions such as the 1989 Visual Poetics show, and the group show Imagine That (Dec 1987); b&w illustrations throughout; condition throughout is Very Good, with some rubbing to wraps, and scuff marks to clear acrylic fronts, some creases to pages, some bulletins a little loose-bound (but holding).
