About 25% of pages have some underlining (mostly around chapter 8) and a few pages have marginal notes. Most of the pages in the last half of the book are free of underlining. Some penciled notes on endpapers. Red cloth with gold lettering on black background on spine. Preface to this Third Edition as well as the original preface to the First Edition. Tight square book with white pages. Contents in 32 chapters beginning with Mind, Its Development and Purpose and ending with the chapter titled Child Psychiatry.
