Several penciled signatures of previous owner "Walter E. Brierly" dated April 3, 1918 (second flyleaf and title page). Frontis is two-page colored illustrations of the converter flame. Corners bumped, occasional foxing throughout. Cloth. Part of Griffin's Metallurgical Series.

The previous owner Walter E. Brierly (and his father) were involved with the Worcester Steam Heating Company, which manufactured generators, boilers, and sold and installed steam-heating plants. (short bio included with the book).
