In addition to his duties as pastor, Whittemore (1800-61) was a Massachusetts legislator who led the movement to end state favoritism for the Congregationalists (descendants of the Puritans). Condition of this book: Boards worn with a few surface scratches, upper joint cracked. Leaves clean and tight, moderate foxing, overall good and sound. Size: 12mo. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
