London: Whittaker and Co., 1842. First Edition . Cloth. Good/Issued Without d/j. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. xxviii + 548 pp., b/w illus., 2 page frontis. RE-BOUND. The original embossed green cloth has been used to cover a new cloth binding (front, spine & back cover). Bookplate on the attached front endpaper, former owner's ink sig. on the f.f.e.p., lt. foxing on the rear endpapers & some lt. foxing on the bottom edge of a few pp. of the text o/w good to very good cond.
