About This Item

New Brunswick New Jersey: Rutgers University Press [0-8135-3266-3] 2002. (Mass market paperback) 243pp. Good. 4to. Ex-lib., with stamp to title page and a label affixed to the Table of Contents page. There is a plain white 'theft prevention' sticker placed to the inside rear cover. This offers new perspectives on Modernism, perhaps the most important artistic movement of the 20th century. Black and white photogrpahs, taken by Virginia Woolf and Vanessa Bell, some of which are published here for the first time, along with comparative analyses to contemporary photographic and cinematic process and practice. Blue wrappers, titles in blue and black to spine. Some water damage to the last few pages and page 242 and 243 are 'stuck' together; otherwise clean and crisp. Wrappers show light wear. The text remains clean. Overall, a good copy of this important work on modernist visual aesthetics..
