Vol 1 - xvi, 179 pgs; Vol 2 - 164 pgs; Vol 3 - 157 pgs Extensively illustrated with hand colored plates, monochrome photos and B&W illustrations throughout. Bound in green cloth boards with small, decorative gold and floral designs covering front, back and spine. Gilt title on front board and spine. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities (spines faded and worn). Maude Caroline Hathaway bookplate present to the front pastedown. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. An excellent and in depth work showing the clothing and fashions of the 19th century. E-138; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
