Marbled blue endpapers; color pictorial title, 8 half-tone plates and numerous b&w illustrations. Spine ends and corners lightly rubbed, cover label a bit scratched, else a clean, tight copy.
First edition. Author, wildlife artist and founding pioneer of the Boy Scouts of America Ernest Thompson Seton's wonderful chronicling of the life and adventures of a North American Grizzly bear. Profusely illustrated and suspensefully engaging, this classic example of animal fiction from one of the pioneers of the genre is a delight.
