Oversized hardcover, with dust jacket, published by Park Lane. Edited by Charles Stuckey. 10" X 13", 389 pages with Index. Includes 132 color and 119 black & white photos. Presents Monet's work chronologically, accompanied with contemporary writings of the time in such items as reviews, articles and interviews. Includes items by Proust, Zola, Maupassant, Mallarme, Clemenceau, as well as his son - Jean Renoir. Essays of modern criticism by William Steitz and Clement Greenberg are also included. Includes three fold out plates - one of 'Green Reflections', and two of versions of 'Water Lilies'. This is a later printing. The dust jacket is included, though it is price clipped at the top corner of the front flap. Sturdy blue colored cover boards with the title imprinted on the spine and front cover in gold. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or creased. Edges of the text block are clean. The sewn binding is tight and square. This is not a remainder copy, not a library discard. The attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
