Boards clean and firm, rubs to edges and corners, small section of top edge sunned, no inscriptions, annotations in pen on half title and title and publishers page (see scans), binding sound, slight lean to the spine, pages clean, tanned, dust staining to edges of text block. Wrapper with rubs to edges, large chips to front cover (see scan) and small chips to spine tail, now in protective acid free archive film, original price (8/6 net) not clipped. Written during his internment by the Germans at the fall of France in World War 2.
