New York: Joan Kahn for Harper & Row Publishers, 1969 Hardcover, with dust jacket, 149 pp. Bright, psychedelic dust jacket cover designed by John Gerabino. This is the convict/author's second novel, which, parlaying on the success of his Edgar-winning debut, Silver Street, gained a lot of notice and was, in fact, made into a television movie in 1971. Also known as "Steel Wreath," the TV movie had an outstanding cast, including Telly Savalas, Goldie Hahn, Sally Field, Anne Francis and a young Martin Sheen. "A professional killer is hired by his brother, a gang boss, to wipe out a rival gangster." (from IMDB) You can just hear the theme music if you try hard enough. Condition: Near Fine, with a Good dust jacket in Brodart cover. One slightly bumped corner appears on front board. D/j is price clipped, has a nickel-sized piece missing on rear and other wear. . First edition. Hardcover . Near Fine/Good.
