The covers are lightly bumped and slightly warped with a light staining to a small area of the front cover. The dust jacket is rubbed & chipped along the edges. 121 & [6] pages plus the colophon, illustrated with stunning black & white photographs. Good. <p>First edition.<p>Among the locations where these photographs of mountains and mountaineers were taken are the Dolomites, Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, the Caucasus and Pamir. The book has a 2-page introduction in Italian by Antonio Arcari.<p>Laid in is a 2-page typed sheet giving translations of the photo captions.
