Paris, France: Éditions Albert Lévy, 1921. First edition. Hardcover portfolio. Very Good/Good. Folio (17"x13"). 100 loose photogravure plates (mostly sepia, several in color), complete +title, preface, contents in 1/4 bound green linen and tan/green paper covers, tied with silk ribbon. National Geographic Society Ex-library copy: title page stamped, card and envelope pasted to rear pdep. Slightly faded spine, cracked cloth over upper joint, boards rubbed and soiled, 1" square area to upper cover where a sticker was removed, corners bumped, ribbons soiled. Some and bumping to plate edges, large bump to top/fore corner of first several plates. Lightly toned interior (somewhat darker at edges) and some foxing.
