A collection of short stories and poetry by John Buchan (1875-1940) was a British novelist, historian, and Unionist politician who served as Governor General of Canada, the 15th since Canadian Confederation. The collection includes the following short stories and poems. The stories Streams of Water in the South and The Rime of True Thomas were reprinted from a former collection, Grey Weather. The remaining tales had all previously appeared in Blackwood's Magazine.
