Indianapolis, IN: Popular Fiction Publishing Co., [1927]. 12mo. 192 pp. Blue ribbed publisher’s cloth, orange embossed lettering front cover & spine (minor shelfwear, very minor dustsoiling), w/ d.j. creepy cover art of chained nubile woman about to be killed as sacrifice (minor chipping head & foot of spine), still NF/VG copy, from library of Ted Dikty (1920-1991), best remembered as managing editor of Shasta, co-editor of the “Best of the Year” sci fi anthologies with Bleiler, and later married to science fiction author Julian May. First edition of this uncommon anthology incorporating four stories from 1923 Weird Tales pulp magazine, with very nice provenance association.
