The text supported by numerous photographic reproductions - many in colour. Original publisher's purple cloth - gilt embossed to the spine and to the front board. A former owner's book plate is pasted to the front endpaper and probably the same former owner's address in ink (blue and black colours - one pen ran out - it appears) below it in quite large writing. A slight ink mark to the leading fore-edge in no way affecting the margins of the pages themeselves. The jacket has not been price-clipped and is lovely and bright; it has an expertly repaired short tear to the upper rear corner with light associated creasing and rubbing. The jacket also has slight shelf wear and slight creasing and rubbing to both the head and tail of the spine. A very good, essentially clean, tight, bright looking copy.
