The fur trade made the James Bay (Hudson Bay) community an important part of Canadian history and served for many years as the headquarters post of Rupert's Land, the fur-trading empire of the Hudson's Bay Company. 36 pages well-illustrated with B&W plates / double-paged map. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Minor corner creasing with minor sunning to back cream cover.
