Original printed wrappers frayed, worn paper spine with contemporary manuscript lettering, label removed from half-title with some loss, signature to title. Withal a good copy, entirely untrimmed, preserved in the original state albeit frayed. ~ FIRST EDITION thus. Abraham-Hyacinthe Anquetil du Perron (1731-1805), French intellectual writer, interpreter, traveler and linguistics scholar, known for his pioneering work on the translation of the Avesta into a European language. The "Morale" first appeared in "Zend Avesta, ouvrage de Zoroastre (.)". I-4 IN
