Maroon covers with gilt design on front and gilt lettering and design on spine. Back cover has a blind stamped design. Covers have some stains. Corners of covers are slightly bumped and have some rubbing. Top edges of pages are gilt-covered. Top edge of spine has some wear. Inside front cover has a bookplate from the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma with a mason's name on it. Top and bottom edges of pages in front and in back of book have some wrinkling. Sm 4to hardcover in blue pebbled cloth with gilt titling to spine, gilt double-headed eagle to spine and front board, and blind stamped double-headed eagle to rear board. 861pp. Several small chapter header/footer decorations. Reading copy only. Spine quite sunned and spine gilt nearly rubbed away. Page edges typically toned with some dust staining to top edge and page edges. Spine tips frayed and corners moderately bumped. Hinges broken at front and rear. Front two endpapers detached. Ink owner's inscription to second front endpaper.
