The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a sleeve, has edge wear to include short closed tears and creases, corner nicks and an irregular 1/2" chip on the front panel and spine crown.

It was first published in hardcover by Doubleday in 1976, and in paperback by the Fawcett Crest imprint of Ballantine Books in November 1977. This book is the second of the six books featuring the Black Widowers.
