London: Chatto and Windus, 1897. First UK Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. First issue with publisher’s 32 page catalogue dated September 1897 bound at rear. Original burgundy blind-stamped cloth with titles in gilt to the upper board and spine. Cloth t rubbed and spotted, but still a sound, square copy of this fragile title. The US edition was published as "Following the Equator" in November 1897.
