London: Chatto & Windus, 1952 Book. Very Good Minus. Hardcover. First Thus - Uniform Edition. 5 1/2 x 8 1/4 Inches. Original red cloth with gilt lettering. Previous owner's name. Foxing to endpapers. Dustjacket has small edge tears and a 1"x 2" piece missing from the back at the bottom edge. Cover of jacket features an illustration of the Cat, the Raven and the Snake from the book surrounded by ribbons and bows. Originally published in 1925, this is the story of the daughter of an Enchanter who defies her father's wishes and inserts herself into the world of humans. It is a parable which examines the paradoxes of human behaviour. 145 pp..
