About This Item
Vintage, 1955. Hardcover. Fine. This is a very nice hardcover copy of the Viking edition of 1955. The book is in the original full-brown cloth with the Vintage logo and titles in gilt. These hardcovers were obvously intended for library use but this copy remains free of all markings -- about as new. Nice book.
Synopsis
"To deny a people the man whom it praises as the greatest of its sons is not a deed to be undertaken lightheartedly--especially by one belonging to that people," states Sigmund Freud in Moses & Monotheism . Freud puts forth the idea that Moses was an Egyptian nobleman, and that the Jewish religion was Egyptian in origin in this controversial essay.
