About This Item

Middlebury, Vermont; (1985): P.S. Eriksson. First Edition. Octavo. x, 248 pages, 7 pages of plates. Inscribed: "To Hugh Downs, who inspired me to achieve greatness as a practical joker. One of my more modest accomplishments in this area is described on pages 15-17. It followed the great holdup.--Bob Miller". As longtime friends, Huge Downs later wrote an introduction to his work "The Revolution in Horsemanship". James Herriot writes an introduction to this volume where he says he came to love is cartoon and then read the manuscript of this book. "The mixture if incomparably rich. Birds and bulls, horses, sheep and cats. Dogs, cows, monkeys mules, foxes, bears and lions. I cannot name them all but Bob Miller has treated them all...He can do just the same with words as he had done with pictures." Bound in green cloth, spine lettering black. A fine bright copy in a near fine unclipped pictorial dust jacket.
