London, UK: J Coker and Co. Hardcover. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Vreary, G E. Undated but circa 1930. 188pp plus four colour plates; with numerous line drawing in text, all by G E Breary. In pictorial boards, linen over spine. Small 4to. Boards worn, scuffed and chipped on edges, paper scar in top left corner (likely where a price label has been carelessly removed), rubbed at corners and spine ends, shelf worn. Some spotting and tanning on endpapers. Minor spotting on other prelims. Some of the line drawings have been coloured in by hard, mostly neatly and attractively but one is messy and childish. Stunning colour plate illustrations. Stories include Princess Rosette, The Giant Hands, Peter and his Goose, Tiny and her Vanity, The Selfish Man, the Dame and her Daughter etc.
