About This Item

Oxford University Press, 1964, bc ed. ill. b/w photos, good plus minor soiling of edges/dj good plus price clipped minor soiling, includes index. Karlsson, a Finn from the Aland Islands, was a professional sailor with the last of the big Cape Horn sailing ships which sailed from the Finnish port of Mariehamn. He first went to sea in 1919 and later served on the famous four-masted barque Herzogin Cecilie.
