Thriller and occult novelist Dennis Wheatley association copy with his ornate bookplate on front free endpaper. Bookplate was designed by Frank C Papé. Looks to be a first edition, second issue without the author's book title list opposite the title page and the brighter green cloth. Jacket flaps are clipped at all four corner,s original price of 7s. 6d. net still present. Tiny closed tears to head of jacket spine. Light toning to free endpapers. Light fading to edges of boards. Light foxing to foredges. Boards are faded. Nice copy. George Jefferson C5.
