Hodder And Stoughton, 1950. Hardcover. Acceptable/Acceptable. 1950. First Edition Thus. 229 pages. Pictorial jacket over red cloth. Contains black and white photographic frontispiece, with other plates throughout. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Binding is firm. Scribble to front pastedown. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Spine and edges are heavily sunned. Book has a noticeable forward lean, with slight bowing to boards. Clipped jacket. Light tanning and foxing to all surfaces. Moderate edgewear, with noticeable chipping, tearing and creasing, and some loss to spine ends.
