An introduction to the Vietnamese art of "Hon Non Bo," literally "mountainous island in the sea." Closely associated with bonsai (Japan) and penjing (China), Hon Non Bo is a uniquely Vietnamese art form influenced by its geography and spiritual connection with nature, i.e. the worship of "stones, trees and rivers". No previous ownership marks. A clean, tight, fresh and unmarked copy. Incidental rubbing to cloth at very bottom and top edge of spine, else a fine copy in a fine dust-jacket. .
